Western Springs

I appreciate the beauty of Western Springs a little more each time we go there! These photos are of our most recent visit in July on a cold day. We arrived there with the sun trying to peep through the clouds but ended up having to take refuge under the trees when the rain suddenly came down. The upside of being caught in the rain is that Randel managed to get some beautiful photos of the water with the rain falling on it. Always a highlight for me is the abundance of beautiful birds and even eels!

And so the tabogganing begun..we all had a lot of fun on the tabogganing slope...

After a few hours some of us were really feeling the cold so we finished our morning on the Mountain enjoying hot chocolates and cooldrinks in the warm cafeteria
