Rome - part 1

What a great city Rome is!  On day one we headed off for a walk through this beautiful old city, past the ubiquitous scooters.....

Past a protest being presided over by armed police officers!

We passed photo worthy graffiti

Past stunning architecture 

Up these stairs and through this ancient tunnel

Until about 10 minutes into our walk we turned a corner and we're greeted by this amazing sight!

After exploring the Collesseum we had our first taste of Roman gelato and their Nutella creeps 

We explored the city

And when in Rome, it's only right to have lasagne for dinner the first night....
